I love animals! Plain and simple. I've always felt like I've been given a special gift to understand them and for them to understand me. I love that bond. That friendship. Living in Romania I see so many poor dogs living on the streets with no home and I just wanted to help them. When I found out about ROLDA, I knew this was my chance. ROLDA does amazing work to help animals, but they also care about people. After I lost my home, Dana offered me a home on the premises and I am forever grateful for her. In a way, I am happier because day and night I am always surrounded by the people and animals I care...

Some might say that I have the easiest job at ROLDA because I basically prepare and evaluate them for adoption after they have been rehabilitated, but that's not true. I also see the dogs when they first arrive at ROLDA, all scared, skinny, bruised...it's painful to watch. No job is easy at a charity. It's heartwarming to see a stray dog who's been transformed into an adoptable pet, but it's also painful to watch them continue to spend years here because no one adopts them. Please, choose to adopt.

Veterinary Assistant
I have two small children who mean the world to me, and I would do anything for them, just as I would for an animal in pain because I believe they deserve to be treated with love and respect as well. I think of how fortunate my babies are to have me and my wife, and all I want is the same for every stray I help rescue… to have parents who care for them and love them.

I used to work in a farm, mainly with big animals like cows and horses, but they were always treated well, so it has definitely been a challenge working with scared and abused dogs. It breaks your heart at first, I mean, I think it always will, but when you see the changes they go through at ROLDA, I am grateful to be here.

My name is Adela, and I’ve been a Marketing Specialist at ROLDA for the past three years. I'm proud to be part of this incredible team, surrounded by passionate people dedicated to positively impacting the world — and that’s exactly what ROLDA stands for.
I’m an animal lover, especially fond of dogs and cats. In fact, I’ve adopted two wonderful cats, Bubbles and Slick, who bring so much joy to my home. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and love getting lost in a good book.

Web Designer

Executive Assistant to the CEO
I started working at ROLDA a few years ago, initially focusing on web development and site maintenance. Over time, my role expanded to include donor management and participation in various projects. I also took on the challenge of solving different issues as they arose, which helped me develop my creativity and ambition in finding solutions.
What I do at ROLDA is driven by passion and deep commitment. If I can contribute, even in a small way, to ROLDA’s efforts, I feel proud to be part of this mission.
In my spare time, I love baking cakes, taking walks in nature, and watching movies.
For me, ROLDA is "a place" where people from around the world come together, united by our shared goal of making the world a better place for animals.

My name is Delia and currently I hold the position of Fundraising Manager for the Romanian arm of ROLDA, an organization dedicated to animal protection. Upon joining ROLDA, I realized that I wanted to direct my attention and support towards animals. I understood how important it is to be their voice, to represent them, and to make their lives easier and more beautiful because they cannot express what they think or feel. This responsibility motivates me and drives me to use my skills to give them a better life. My love for animals is deep and personal. I have two adopted dogs, Dezzi and Freedo, who changed my life. Dezzi is a dog rescued from a village where she was kept on a chain and had numerous births. Freedo is a small dog rescued at just 8 months old from being chained and mistreated by a person. Both had a hard life, but I came into their lives to share mutual love and to give them a safe and affectionate home. Outside of my professional sphere, I have a true passion for specialty coffee. I love exploring diverse coffee origins, learning about different varieties and processing methods, and optimizing my equipment to brew the best coffee at home. This is who I am, a dedicated professional with a big heart for the causes I support and a passion for everything related to innovation and perfection, whether in my work or in my hobbies.

Content Writer Romanian
Three years ago, I joined ROLDA as a content writer. I am good with words but also a conceptual thinker—once we decide on our message, I will never stray from its core nor let my coworkers communicate anything different from the initially agreed-upon concept. Another critical skill I like to use when writing for ROLDA is organizing the information and giving it context and a conclusion. I don’t want to call myself a storyteller because there are already so many of those, but I am a writer and aim to get any message across in the most concise and appealing way possible.
As a former pet owner, I know how little some people know about dogs despite living in a country with one dog in almost every front yard. There is still a lot of room for teaching the general public about dogs, dog care, and dog ownership, so my skills come in handy here.
My German Braque, Jessie, was the light of my eyes, and it was an honor to care for her from puppyhood to her final days. I have learned more in 17 years with Jessie about love, loyalty, missing, responsibility, depending on another and coming through for them than I have in the entire rest of my life.
Also, as a professional writer, I have numerous projects, but none matter as much as ROLDA. Other projects might ask for my mind, but ROLDA has my heart.

Web Project Manager
I have been working at ROLDA for a few years as a Project Manager, where I have had the opportunity to utilize my skills in organization, coordination, and team management to contribute to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned dogs and cats. My experience in project management has helped me successfully oversee multiple projects alongside ROLDA, ensuring that each initiative is completed with efficiency and compassion.
A particularly special moment in my career was rescuing Ștefănuț, a puppy to whom I became deeply attached. I found him in December, in the middle of the night, while it was snowing and the temperature was freezing. At first, I thought it was something discarded on the street, but when I stopped the car, I discovered it was a completely frozen puppy, unable to move or call for help. After bringing him to ROLDA, Ștefănuț quickly found a loving family, which reinforced my belief in the importance of our work.
For me, ROLDA is not just a workplace but a true family, where each day is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable among us.

Social Media Campaigns Manager

Graphic Designer
I joined ROLDA team recently and honestly, I must say, I like what's happening, what's being done, and what I do. I take care of the graphic design part - I like to tell people (those who ask me "what do you do with art, what do you work on, what's new and cool in your life") that I draw dogs, and this brings me a lot of joy. ROLDA's mission is noble. The fact that I can get involved in a creative way brings me professional satisfaction. when I'm not drawing dogs, I work on my personal art projects, read, go for a run in the park, cook, or spend time with people I care about. I grew up with pets and have been a trustworthy babysitter for my friends' animals. Puxie was the dog my grandmother let me keep at her place. Blondie was a wonderful dog who travelled the world with her owner; when they moved to Romania, their family grew as my friend also rescued a cat named Balder. I was their babysitter. Nunu was my trainers' dog. I started practising kyokushin karate when I was 10 years old. At the moment, I have fish - some crazy neon-coloured ones - and between us, they are more my mum's kids, but since they are part of the family, they are also mine when I visit.

Digital Strategy & International Operations Manager
Originally from Argentina but living a mostly nomadic lifestyle, I’m a veterinarian by training who transitioned into project management to better align with life on the move. Over the past few years, I’ve focused on helping companies and organisations streamline and optimise their digital operations so their teams can work more efficiently and create greater impact.
My deep love for animals was what drew me to join ROLDA, as I genuinely connect with what the organisation stands for. I’m excited to contribute my skills in project management and digital transformation to support their meaningful work in improving animal welfare.
I’m drawn to remote places, islands, and -for some reason- long stretches of solitude. I travel often just to keep life a little unpredictable. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me exploring new places, taking long walks outdoors, crafting, reading, or happily petting every animal that crosses my path.

With over 15 years of experience in marketing campaign planning, management, execution, and follow-up, I have developed the ability to competently juggle multiple assignments while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. This wealth of experience has been invaluable in my role as social media specialist and content creator for ROLDA. My expertise in marketing has allowed me to effectively promote the organization's mission, raise awareness for animal welfare issues, and drive engagement with our social media followers. Through strategic campaign planning and content creation, I have been able to make a tangible impact on the success of the organization's initiatives and ultimately contribute to the well-being of animals in need.
I have the joy of caring for a diverse family of animals, including 3 cats and 6 dogs in my home, as well as 12 community cats that live outside my flat. In addition to providing them with a loving and nurturing environment, I am dedicated to ensuring the well-being of other animals in my neighborhood by regularly sterilizing the local cat population. This commitment to animal welfare brings me great fulfillment and allows me to make a positive impact on the lives of these wonderful creatures.
Although I don't have much spare time, I thoroughly enjoy indulging in a few hobbies. I am an avid reader and find solace in the pages of a good book. Additionally, I prioritize my physical well-being by regularly going to the gym and engaging in invigorating workout sessions. Another passion of mine is baking delicious cakes, which I find both creative and rewarding. These activities bring balance to my life and provide a much-needed break from my busy schedule.
