Donbas war history is complex and pointed by many bloody battles since 2014.
If you would leave Kramatorsk city, Donbas in any direction you go, you will get into an active war zone. Many buildings were damaged and drones and rockets attack are frequent. But if you drive further south, you head towards a more intense war zone.
Drones hunt everything that moves and bombs are falling …there are hardly any buildings untouched but remained people continue to refuse evacuation.
Looking around, you would wonder what else those bombs are sent to destroy because everything is a ruin. Roads are dangerous with many damaged or destroyed cars due to drone attacks, Rescue teams work under in high risk areas to save animals despite the dangers that are present everyday.
I cant compare Druzhkivka with anything I saw yet in Ukraine but still a man, most of the time alone, goes there 3 or 4 times per week to evacuate animals and hand them to organizations that help in Kramatorks, Poltava and other conflict zones.
