June Newsletter 2011

Dear ROLDA friends and supporters,
Part of this newsletter is about one person that changed, improved and gave more strength to ROLDA in time: Hanneke, a special friend from Holland which started helping our rescue dogs a year ago.

Since than and in such a short time, Hanneke became ROLDA Representative for Holland, she helped us rehome over 100 dogs safely in Holland, she built a network of trustworthy people which help us promote, foster, fundraise.

PRESIDENT WORD 2011

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I would like to thank you from my heart for keeping ROLDA close to your hearts throughout another challenging year.

2011 started sadly with the theft of building materials from our Adoption Center, just before the reconstruction of our oldest kennels was to begin.  We were not able to complete all the renovations we had hoped to do this year, but the work continues, and we have made unexpectedly progress in several directions. 

In the month of May I was euphoric at the number of volunteers who came from all over the world to help the dogs at both of our shelters. Unfortunately, some of those volunteers did not understand that shelters in Romania,  even ROLDA despite our years of efforts,  do not yet have the quality of facilities that they see in their much more affluent homelands.
