Romanian streets are one of the worst nightmares for abandoned, abused, homeless dogs and for some locals who are making desperate efforts to help them.

ROLDA started to help Romanian animals over 10 years ago, when a small group of activists raised their voices against animal abuses in Romania. Apart from creating petitions and protest, ROLDA focused the entire energy, from the very beginning, on transforming Romanian society by creating good examples .

And there is always more to be done. That’s where YOU come in. You are invited to join a growing group of supporters, to raise international awareness of our much-needed, grassroots organization.

ARCELORMITTAL GALATI, ROMANIA

ROLDA has 9 employees paid for direct work with animals (dog caretakers and catchers, drivers and a veterinary technician). All the administrative staff /representatives in Romania and abroad are volunteers.
Speaking of the local project, it cannot pass unnoticed one of the best things ever happen to our charity: Arcelor Mittal Galati - read about their amazing support offered to ROLDA in particular and to homeless local animals in general.

ROLDA USA

In 2006 ROLDA obtained the 501-c-3 status in USA under the name of Romanian League in Defense of Animals, Inc and has its office in Washington state. Since than all US donors can benefit of tax-deductible donations when giving a gift for our animals.
