Peticut challenge

The story:

Oct  11, 2011 - Peticut is a mixed German shepherd, approx 3 months old.

ROLDA was called by one of the steel plant employee for an emergency rescue. This puppy was found hit by a car crying in the bushes. His leg’ open wound started to infect and two fragments of bone were outside the skin. Each time when the puppy moved the leg, he was screaming because of pain.

Within one hour, our staff already arrived with Peticut to the vet , where he had IV treatment, painkiller, antibiotics and after the infection will disappear – a decision will be taken regarding the leg.

Among his biggest advantage : he is very young and bones fractures recover faster, he is not very energetic and able to stay calm in the crate, the wound was not very infected and the recovery time will be shorter. Plus the chances to completely save the leg are very high.

Peticut might need a surgery, but it is too soon to know this precisely.
