Following the abusive, slanderous campaign started on the internet against our charity and its President, we would like to point out that neither ROLDA Foundation or Dana Costin were never charged or even investigated in Romania or abroad by any official authority, in the present or in the past.

ROLDA is among the (very) few charities that report in a transparent manner the annual financial incoming and expenses. ROLDA is among even fewer Romanian charities sponsored by a large corporation which double-checks /audit the expenses regularly.

Dana Costin, the President is not an employee of ROLDA and doesn’t own properties in Romania or abroad, luxury vehicles, luxury objects, as it is alleged.

The misleading campaign started back in 2006 by Romania Animal Rescue(the other501-c-3 charity for Romanian animals registered in USA) probably because them (its founder) felt threatened by ROLDA motivation, successes and good work done every day in Galati region of Romania.

Donors and new supporters were harassed with emails and often  phone calls to cease supporting ROLDA dogs.

In summer 2011, we ended the partnership with Romania Animal Aid (now Action Aid for Animals) which immediately joined Romania Animal Rescue’ Machiavelli scheme.

As a result of this “partnership”, a website was created(containing mostly outdated, counterfeit information, denaturized “proofs”, private emails between different people abusively made public, official and confidential documents were unscrupulous used at the lowest level possible) to hurt ROLDA.

Emails and messages were posted on various groups and social networks by Romania Animal Rescue and Action Aid for Animals (aka Romania Animal Aid) representatives instigating people against ROLDA. The fanatic supporters of these two charities multiplied the damage of this evil scenario.

It is already very hard to work as a charity in Romania, to be able to build shelters like ROLDA does, where quality life is offered every day to hundreds of dogs. The hatred attacks were meant to slow down ROLDA progress and ultimately to push away our supporters help, which was carefully monitories to be redirected to these two charities and their protégée.

It is sad and discouraging to fight every day with corruption, cruelty, a multitude of economic, social problems and add up these evil attitude coming from what should be “colleagues” charities, having a same goal : saving animals from Romania.

The big hurt ego of some persons, going that far to be transformed into a vicious, obsessive destroying attitude caused ROLDA a lot of harm financially and morally.

For the time being, ROLDA consulted a lawyer which started already legal actions against (most of) Romanian people who joined without conscience to deliberately damage our charity reputation.

For this reason: Cenac Vasile will be sued for creating a video for the purpose of serving Nancy Janes abject interests; Geo Capatana and Mirela Enachi for defamatory allegations.

In case the financial resources will permit, ROLDA consider to take legal actions against Romania Animal Rescue and Romania Animal Aid charities, which were advised in numerous time to remember why they were founded in the first place: to save animals in need and not win supporters by slandering others who are successful because they work hard and seriously.

Deplorably, the attitude of several groups and charities from Romania was similar of the attitude of sharks smelling blood, especially when they never worked /collaborated/visited ROLDA or never met Dana Costin , but got into this dispute on internet “for justice” – lead to the conclusion that their economic interests are above any form of morality.
