ROLDA is a public charity, funded exclusively from donations, sponsorships and grants.

REX CHARITABLE VETERINARY CLINIC

The construction work started in fall 2011, thanks to the generosity of our local sponsor who provided financial and  technical assistance. The charitable clinic is placed on the same land as the large rescue dogs center. PHOTOS ALBUM

BEST SHELTER IN EASTERN EUROPE

Built in 2003 and named “Adoption Center”  because it has a 100% rehoming rate, the shelter is located in the Smardan village, approx. 7 km from Galati town. “Animal People” publication has chosen it the best shelter in Eastern Europe in 2004. A new evaluation (2010) scored it higher.

LARGE RESCUE STREET DOGS CENTER

Started in 2007 thanks to our local sponsor’s generous investment. 10 blocks of 10 kennels/each on 15000 sqm. During 2011 additional improvements created to provide higher security and comfort for sheltered dogs.

FREE STERILIZATION CAMPAIGN

Over 6000 homeless dogs and cats were sterilized for the local community, the costs of surgeries being covered by ROLDA from grants and donations.

INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

ROLDA international volunteers program brings all-year round people all over the World to help the strays from our dogs rescue centers.

SUPPORTING OTHER PEOPLE & SHELTERS IN NEED FROM ROMANIA

Between 2009-2011 ROLDA has chosen FIDUCIA shelter from Reghin as a beneficiary of periodic financial support.We are hoping to offer periodically small grants to different charities operating in Romania.

REHOMING

As part of international re-homing program, ROLDA and its partners found safe homes for the Romanian rescue dogs in Holland, Norway, UK, Germany and USA.

DISABLED DOGS RESCUE AND REHOMING 

Dogs hit by cars,  found paralyzed at the edge of the road were rescued, advertised and safely rehomed in UK , USA , Holland and Germany.

SUPPORT THE CARING COMMUNITY

ROLDA provided donations to caring individuals who rescue abused street dogs (infected wounds, disabled, just born puppies) or covered veterinary bills for very expensive surgeries and treatments (tumours, orthopaedic, etc)

HUMANE SOCIETY SPAY DAY PHOTO CONTEST

2nd prize won in 2010 and 3rd prize won in 2011 at Humane Society Spay Day Photo Contest. A ROLDA representative attent to the Genesis Awards in Hollywood in 2011 as a special guest.

CELEBRITIES CAMPAIGN

Our growing list of celebrities includes the actress Loretta Swit, the actress Monica Cruz, the rock band STARVE, paranormal investigator Shannon McCabe and her friend Paul Dale Roberts. Beatrice Welles -the daughter of well-known actor Orson Welles...
